چکیده

Chaotic sequences produced by piecewise linear maps can be transformed to binary sequences. The binary sequences are optimal for the asynchronous DS/CDMA systems in case of certain shapes of the maps. This paper is devoted to the one-to-one integer-number maps derived from the suitable asymmetrical piecewise linear maps. Such maps give periodic integer-number sequences, which can be transformed to the binary sequences. The binary sequences produced via proposed modified integer-number maps are perfectly balanced and embody good autocorrelation and crosscorrelation properties. The number of different binary sequences is sizable. The sequences are suitable as spreading sequences in DS/CDMA systems.

Non-Abelian Sequenceable Groups Involving ?-Covers

A non-abelian finite group is called sequenceable if for some positive integer , is -generated ( ) and there exist integers such that every element of is a term of the -step generalized Fibonacci sequence , , , . A remarkable application of this definition may be find on the study of random covers in the cryptography. The 2-step generalized sequences for the dihedral groups studi...

Performance evaluation of chaotic spreading sequences on software-defined radio

In this paper, bit error performance evaluation of chaotic sequences is presented. Performance of chaotic sequences is evaluated on multiple access spread spectrum system model for USRP software defined radio. LabVIEW is used to perform numerical simulations and bit error rate analysis. Chaotic sequences of different lengths are generated using one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimens...

Injectivity w.r.t. Distribution of Elements in the Compressed Sequences Derived from Primitive Sequences over $Z/p^eZ$

Let p ≥ 3 be a prime and e ≥ 2 an integer. Denote σ(x) as a primitive polynomial of degree n over Z/pZ, and G as the set of primitive linear recurring sequences generated by σ(x). A map ψ on Z/pZ naturally induces a map ψ̂ on G, mapping a sequence (. . . , st−1, st, st+1, . . . ) to (. . . , ψ(st−1), ψ(st), ψ(st+1), . . . ). Previous results constructed special maps inducing injective maps on G....

Improved leaf sequencing reduces segments or monitor units needed to deliver IMRT using multileaf collimators.

Leaf sequencing algorithms may use an unnecessary number of monitor units or segments to generate intensity maps for delivery of intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) using multiple static fields. An integer algorithm was devised to generate a sequence with the fewest possible segments when the minimum number of monitor units are used. Special hardware related restrictions on leaf motion can ...
